Speaker Bio
Victoria Sabula is the Chief Executive Officer of the Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF), a leading development finance institution that supports businesses in innovating, creating jobs, leveraging investments, and expanding markets to build resilience and sustainable incomes in rural and marginalized communities across Africa. Launched in 2008, the AECF has mobilized over US $500 million to date, leveraging more than US $870 million in matching capital and improving the lives of more than 36 million people. AECF has so far supported over 576 companies in 26 countries across sub-Saharan Africa, spanning 40 value chains in agribusiness and renewable energy.

With over 15 years of leadership experience in law, corporate governance, and development finance, Victoria has built a distinguished career at the intersection of business and social impact. She previously served as General Counsel and Corporation Secretary at the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA), where she led governance and compliance. Earlier in her career, she held senior legal and governance roles at KCB Group, supporting cross-border transactions, investment banking advisory, and risk management.
Under her leadership, AECF has expanded its footprint into fragile and frontier markets, channeling patient capital and advisory support to African entrepreneurs—particularly women and youth. These businesses are not only generating returns but also creating jobs, strengthening resilience, and delivering transformative impact for underserved communities.

Victoria is passionate about economic empowerment, gender equality, and scaling innovative private-sector solutions that change lives. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Strategy, and is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
