I have 25+ years’ experience in strategy and investment banking, specifically capital raising, M&A and private equity transactions where the purpose of the capital raised is linked to delivering positive impact. During my career, I have developed a particular expertise in designing, structuring and launching investment vehicles that align different types of capital to allow operating enterprises, financial institutions and various types of investors to generate positive social, environmental and development outcomes while delivering appropriate financial returns. Economic development, entrepreneurship, sustainable business, financial inclusion, responsible and impact investment are consistent themes defining my work.

I am an active member of the impact investing and development finance communities. Among my active board engagements, I am a Non-Executive Director of the CDC Group, the UK's Development Finance Institution, and of Global Partnerships and Bridges Insights. I also serve as a member of the board of the UK Institute for Impact Investing, as a member of the Advisory Council of Case i3 at Fuqua Business School, and as a Global Ambassador for the Global Impact Investment Steering Group established under auspices of the G8. I am a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Currently, I am CEO of Courageous Capital Advisors, LLC, an impact investing firm. Until December 2019, I was CEO of Enclude Capital UK Limited, formerly part of the ShoreBank and Triodos family of companies, and now a Palladium Company. Previously, I was founder and CEO of Central European Advisory Group, a regional advisory firm I sold to my management team in 2005. I also worked as an attorney with the New York, Brussels and Prague offices of White & Case. I have a JD from Harvard University and an undergraduate degree from Stanford University.
